About MK Knives & Tools
MK Knives & Tools – Marcin Kampka. Knife designer and knifemaker. His knives are characterized by outstanding workmanship and exceptional attention to detail. Knives with a highly recognizable line, style and colors are great for a variety of tasks: everyday, survival, bushcraft, tactical and general outdoor. In addition to the usable sphere, the visual setting and the variety of workmanship, especially appreciated by collectors, are of great importance in MK projects. Particular attention should be paid to the treatment of each project as a unique whole. Each knife presents its individual features, but holsters also have their distinguishing features. Holsters are finished as carefully as the knives themselves, which strongly distinguishes them in the knife world. The knifemaker approaches his work with patience and full commitment. Especially the first of these features develops while practicing the fishing hobby, because as we know, nothing refreshes the mind as much as a distraction, even a temporary one that will allow you to relax in a different than everyday environment.
About the presented version of Humbler knife
Humbler design
Humbler “Black Wave #1” presents a great as always level of workmanship, but it also brings closer the spirit of MK Knives & Tools projects. Waves on the covers, seemingly irregular, in fact create a harmonious whole like perfectly matched puzzles and emphasize aspects important to the designer. These are meticulousness, consistency and order visible in the symmetry, subtle matching of planes and emphasizing important accents in the structure. Equally important is the color of the design, which is characteristic of the work philosophy of MK Knives & Tools. In the design, as always, you can see consistency with other knifemaker designs and moving within your own style, which makes individual knives quite easily identifiable.
Each Humbler knife is checked and tested for smooth operation before leaving the workshop. The basic torsion of the structure is selected individually for each copy. The knife works very smoothly and freely from the very first moment. It is recommended not to adjust the twist immediately after use, because the knife will adjust even better after the initial use.
Premium steel and utility blade
Satin Humbler blade has a full flat grind. The profile of the blade is a classic, universal drop point style with a nail cut to help open the knife with both hands. The design of the blade determines the optimal functionality and dedicates it to perform any type of task. The Elmax premium steel blade gives excellent performance effects: long-lasting sharpness, corrosion resistance and reliable durability (high abrasion resistance, high resistance to mechanical damage).
Smooth opening and solid construction
Humbler is a knife with a slipjoint design. The knife is opened with both hands, and the smooth movement of the blade is supported by phosphor bronze washers. The unfolded blade is stable and secure thanks to the perfect fit of the whole. Stability is also ensured by other structural elements. Each of them is matched in terms of shape and material. The construction is based on titanium liners, backspacer made of Elmax steel, and the pivot pin on which the blade moves is also made of the same steel. When the blade is closed, the carbide stop pin keeps it in the correct position.
Exclusive handle
Grips made of G10 composite with epoxy insert have a rough structure for better grip. G10 itself is resistant to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids, has a high resistance to mechanical damage. The covers were screwed with stainless steel screws witha finish consistent with the entire design (sandblasted). There is a hole in the backspacer that allows you to thread an additional rope, paracord, etc., which serve as protection against a possible loss of the knife. The hole can also be used to attach an additional ornament in the form of a bead (MK beads you will find HERE).
Pouch for the knife
Humbler folding knife comes with a fabric pouch with the MK logo. The velcro closure cover is used to store or carry the knife, depending on the needs and preferences of the user.
