MK Knives & Tools Crowbar “Coyote II” comes with blade made of Elmax steel with a 6.5 mm (0.26″) thick blade on the spine. The blade is made with an innovative hollow grind, visible as subtle grooves on it. The combination of the thickness of the blade with the type of grind gives the tool great durability while maintaining optimal cutting properties. The blade was covered with a DLC coating and the handle was made of coyote G10 composite. The set includes a black Kydex holster.
With a massive 6,5 mm (0.26″) thick blade and a total length of 320 mm (12.60″), it can handle extreme off-road tasks. It will effectively replace an ax when chipping wood. Felling small trees, chopping limbs, baring larger pieces will not be a problem with the use of this knife. Clearing up the area for the camp (machete function) is also a task that it can fully cope with. The Crowbar is a knife you can rely on universally for heavier work, but also for more subtle tasks such as slicing, cutting, etc.
About MK Knives & Tools
MK Knives & Tools – Marcin Kampka. Knife designer and knifemaker. His knives are characterized by outstanding workmanship and exceptional attention to detail. Knives with a highly recognizable line, style and colors are great for a variety of tasks: everyday, survival, bushcraft, tactical and general outdoor. In addition to the usable sphere, the visual setting and the variety of workmanship, especially appreciated by collectors, are of great importance in MK projects. Particular attention should be paid to the treatment of each project as a unique whole. Each knife presents its individual features, but holsters also have their distinguishing features. Holsters are finished as carefully as the knives themselves, which strongly distinguishes them in the knife world. The knifemaker approaches his work with patience and full commitment. Especially the first of these features develops while practicing the fishing hobby, because as we know, nothing refreshes the mind as much as a distraction, even a temporary one that will allow you to relax in a different than everyday environment.
About presented Crowbar knife
Unmatched Durability: A Knife Built to Last
The Crowbar Knife is meticulously crafted from a single piece of steel, featuring a robust full-tang structure. Its handle is adorned with attached covers, providing optimal strength and stability as the steel spans its entire length and width. Renowned for its durability, the full-tang construction is the epitome of reliability in fixed blade knives.
To enhance its resilience and protect against corrosion, the knife boasts a black DLC coating. This Diamond Like Carbon coating, boasting a remarkable hardness of approximately 90 HRC, fortifies the steel and enhances its anti-reflective properties. Crowbar Knife combines strength, durability, and superior corrosion resistance.
Durable premium steel as the core of the construction
Knife of Elmax steel. Elmax is one of the few steels available on the market in the absolute top quality of materials used in the production of premium knives. Knives made of it are extremely resistant to overload, stay sharp for a long time and have excellent anti-corrosion properties.
Grinds and blade shape for effective cutting
The knife blade has been profiled in the drop point style. This design helps to make the best use of the really large blade. It should be noted that the slightly curved design of the knife (arc from the end of the handle to the tip of the blade) in combination with a properly profiled, undercut handle gives the whole a more aggressive character and, if necessary, allows you to better use the force put into a sweeping cut when chopping, for example, a larger piece of wood, etc. A curiosity in the execution of the knife is the innovative hollow grind. It is visible at first glance in the form of characteristic grooves on both the correct blade and the false blade. The concavity of the grind is very subtle and, in addition to the visual effect, is designed to support the cutting process (it reduces the effect of the material sticking to the blade and facilitates splitting of the material).
On the back of the blade there is a jimpig, which makes it easier to press the blade of the knife to the material being cut. This element enables precise cuts, makes it easier to guide the cutting edge along the material and helps with cuts that require pressure.
Durable ergonomic knife handle
Grips of the handles with an ergonomic, oval shape are made of G10 composite. G10 is resistant to moisture, temperature changes, most solvents and acids, has a high resistance to mechanical damage. G10 in the knife has a rough structure that prevents the handle from slipping in the hand. The handle covers have been screwed together with steel screws. The screws complete the knife’s design, elegantly matching the style of blade. What is important in the construction of the handle is the rounded spine, protruding from each side of the handle, made of the steel protruding beyond the outline of the G10 cladding. According to some users, this procedure makes the handle even more grippy, and certainly stronger, due to the greater width of the steel in this place.
At the end of the knife handle there is a hole for attaching an additional cord, which can be used as a protection against dropping the knife during work, or an additional gripper that facilitates removing the knife from the holster. Originally, it includes a section of paracord with a shade matched to the design.
Pin with paracord attached to it, can be used to attache your favourite ornament e.g. knife bead.
